Passchendaele

At the time this story supposedly took place Canada had been an idependant nation for more than 50 years. However the world - including many Canadians - didn't realy believe it until the First World War.

This story is spellbinding. The movie combined with the book about fictional characters whose lives revolved around the World War I battle at Passcheondaele is a very compelling epic.

I feel duped, not by Amazon, but by the publishers of this book, Harper Collins. I bought it primarily because I wanted to read some of Paul Gross' writing, curious about his writing style.
